We found Woody!!!!

I have been on a 2 month quest... Gemma is in love with Buzz and Woody from Toy Story. It is very, very difficult to find anything from Toy Story because it is 10 years old. Anyway right before Christmas I found a beanie size Buzz (He is about 9") and she has carried him around ever since. I think it is cute that she loves them so much.
On Tuesday I called the Disney store in Orem to see if they had anything new from Toy Story, mostly anything Woody. The Sales rep told me they had a 17" Woody and Buzz that was also available online. I asked him to hold the very last Woody and we went down to get him, I knew he would be bigger than Buzz but it was a Woody, well when we got there and I was going to pay for him the girl saw the Buzz Gemma had and she showed me this Woody. I cannot tell you how excited Gemma and I were. She was laughing and covering him with kisses and so very happy to have him! The store only had 2 left so of course I bought them both, (one to save in case one gets lost) I was told that the day before they got in 15 of the 10" and 20 of the 17" and when I got there they only had 1 17" and 2 10" left!
Now I get to keep track of both of them since they go everywhere with us! On a side note I was also very fortunate to find a brand new Bullseye (he's the horse in toy Story 2) on eBay so hopefully we will receive him next week!

We still cannot take her in the car without a movie, but so long as we have the DVD player in the car she is really good in the car. She is my little friend and I don't go anywhere without her.
She is very determined and bossy and she knows what she wants.

She likes all food but especially quesadillas, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, peas, and beans. She loves to share my Cafe Rio salad with me, and to eat off of Daddy's plate.
She doesn't care for potatoes in any form, or eggs in any form which is funny because those are two of Jade's faves.

I got this idea from Jana's blog and thought it was cute.
anyway some fun things about Jade
She is 8, (that is so hard for me to believe) going on 14 (I always thought that was such a silly thing to say, but now I understand)
She is all girl, and loves girly things, dance, clothes, shoes, dresses, fairy dust and bubble baths, make-up, pajamas.....
She loves lip gloss, any lip gloss and all lip gloss. She loves to go shoe shopping.
She is so very sweet and loving. She loves her grandma's all of them (Grandma Hudson, Rory, Carolyn and Anaka) Carolyn is an Honorary Grandma and one of Jade's best friends.
One of the things that she does all the time is most of her sentences start out with " It's sad..." then who ever she is talking to has to reply "What's sad?" it really is cute. She says it all the time and what ever she is talking about isn't necessarily sad either, it's just her thing.
She loves movies, all the movies, and always has she will sit and watch anything. Her favorites are Horton hears a who, Tinkerbell, The Nightmare before Christmas, all of the Barbie ones (yes she has them all), Sleeping Beauty, Toy Story2, and Beauty and the Beast... to name a few.
Her favorite foods are
Cheese, Macaroni and Cheese (in the blue box),Cereal, mandarin oranges,
Water to drink (this has not changed, she has always loved water) with the occasional diet coke, usually as a treat or with Grandma Rory.
Cheese corn dogs, cheese quesadillas, fettuccine and Alfredo sauce,
do you see a common denominator? :-) The kid loves cheese.
Her favorite treats are Reese's peanut butter cups and chocolate mints (Like Fernwoods), and cereal, She could happily live on cheese and cereal, though not together :-)
Jade has a fun, loving, quiet way about her she is very gentle and a wonderful helper. She likes to go to school and church, and has many friends (mostly boys, probably cause she is so pretty) She is very smart and loves to read, she reads at a 4-5th grade level.
When it is good weather she spends most of her time outside on the trampoline.

Where twinkies do NOT go...

Last night Gemma insisted on having a Twinkie with the other kids. Now usually I don't let her have one because she makes the worst messes with them, ( picture squished EVERYWHERE!!) but she insisted and I didn't want to fight her over a mess that of course I can clean up, so I gave her a Twinkie. Now to give her credit she didn't make a huge mess and she actually ate most of it..... The rest however ended up in her sock. Hmmmm.

Happy Birthday!

Jade is 8! I can't believe it. She was born on January 3, 2001 at 11:36 a.m. It was fun because her due date was January 3. I was not induced she was just ready I guess. She weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces. I was so excited to get a little girl, I had 5 brothers ya know! She had a TON of black hair all over her head and the prettiest dusky skin. She still has a TON of hair and very pretty olive skin. She was a wonderful baby and is a wonderful little girl. We enjoy her immensely!

This is her Birthday cake, Carolyn made her a carrot cake (her favorite). For her Birthday dinner she wanted Fettuchini and breadsticks.

For her Birthday she got to go have a pedicure. Jade has been wanting one for a long time, so on Friday the 2nd I took her first to get her hair trimmed, then down to get one done, of course I had to get one too. :-)
I should have taken a picture of her in the massage chair but I didn't think of it until too late, oh well. Anyway here is the finished product. Her foot is the top one.

We also went shopping for a new pair of boots and Gemma also got some shoes. Finally a pair that she can't get off herself...YAY... so she convinced Carolyn to take them off for her.

For Her Birthday jade wanted to go bowling. I am not sure if she ever has before. She had a great time.
