Gemma's Car

This is a fun story, last week we were outside with the neighbors and they have a cozy coupe for their kids. Well Gemma fell in love with it, they were nice and let her try it out. When it was time for us to go in because the mosquito's were out, I had to extract Gemma from the car, which was embarrassing because she was screaming like a banshee. I figured that she was just tired and didn't think too much of it until the next morning when she was hanging on the front door crying "fun" ,"car", "want it". So we looked into getting her one, I found the cutest pink and purple princess one but she didn't think that was a "car" Then I figured that maybe she didn't really need a car. Well we went for a walk around the block and she saw the neighbors cozy coupe in their garage, and took off for it. So we went to Wal-Mart and got the regular original cozy coupe "Car" and to mark it as hers we put her name on it. She loves it, she won't let Jade even touch it, and every morning since we got it she wakes up and says "car".

She loves the slide across the street at the park.

Tragic Day and other fun tales

A tragic day
Jade and James were horsing around on the trampoline and it ripped all the way across. The trampoline is Jades window to the outside world she spends so much time on it that I am surprised that she isn't in perpetual jump motion. Anyway it was an old mat we have had it for 5 years and before that it was used so I do have to say we got a lot of use out of the mat and now we have to get a new one.

This book is the current favorite book its called Monkey Tumbles and it as little monkey coins that tumble through the book. Gemma loves it. I actually have to hide it because she wants to play it so much, and Jade is a good sport and will sit with her too.
This is cute Gemma is actually in her jammies but she got the little white swimming cover-up on all by herself and she is sitting on the kitchen table. I have to get her down a hundred times a day, it doesn't do any good to turn the chairs over anymore she just climbs up the turned over chairs, and if I take the chairs away she just pushes something over to climb on.

Gemma talk

This post is about Gemma, sometimes I wish this time didn't go so fast. She learns new things everyday and it is so fun to watch. I am so grateful to be able to stay home with her and enjoy every minute of this time with her, I know that I am very lucky and blessed.
I do have to say that she is very demanding and determined! She also throws fits that include screaming and stomping and this little dance that is really very funny. She screams in the car and in the store and really is happiest at home, and I enjoy every minute of it!
Her newest thing is money, she loves it and if anyone has pulled out their wallet she has her hand out, she calls it papa-money and is not to be left out. So she already has a piggy bank and I put her dollars in there when I can :-) Who would have thought that a 18 month old would know that she wants money, or that she was missing out on something.
Roo is getting to be quite the talker and I thought that I should probably keep a record of some of the cute things she says.

Wim = swim
o"side = outside
Get out = Get out, this is used almost exclusively in the car, and usually for the WHOLE ride
Kico = Cisco
Yade = Jade
dad-dad = dad
ewwww buggies = all bugs but especially ants
fluff-fly = butterfly
wimmie = swim diaper
orr = eeyore (she loves Winnie the pooh and Eeyore and piglet)
canny = candy
swoop = drink ( this comes from the swoop noise to indicate drinking with a straw)
cheese = cheese
loney = bologna
baba- nye-nye = bottle and blanket
bopples = grapes (don't ask cause I don't know where this comes from :-) )
dup = jump for the trampoline
h'lo = hello this is only used when she gets a hold of my phone
hold you = she says this when she wants me to hold her, comes from me saying "do you want me to hold you?"
papa = grandpa
papa-money = money, this is cute she calls all older men papa and since there is an old man on money.... papa money
I tink = I stink
baba beep = warmed milk bottle
baba uce = baba juice
bott = belly button
i no-no = i don't know
dot-dog = hot dog

She also says very many things clearly:
bye, Rory, want it, bless you
hi mom, mom-mom, mommy
What's that, money
want, carrot, beans, peas
cheese, water, me,
milk, kitty
cow, oink/pig
belle (Aaron's dog) but all dogs are belle
bath, go, get out, some, treat
vacuum, diaper, Love you
book, fish, owie,all gone, thank you
hair, hand, toe, please, mine, got it
She really talks a lot, and its hard to remember it all at once :-) and sometimes she just goes off jabbering then she looks at me and I am supposed to reply. It very cute and we enjoy her so very much.

Swimming

We have a pretty big swimming pool that I got a few years ago, I haven't put it up for a while because there were too many neighbors with too many little kids and we didn't have a fence yet. Well we now have a fence so Cisco and I drug up the pool the other day and filled it up. We did end up having to take it back down and level out a spot for it because it is big enough that it does make a difference. Any way the kids have been having a lot of fun in it.
Gemma is always asking to go "o'side" outside to "wim" Swim.

4th of July

We went to Grandma Rory's for the 4th. We usually go there every year. We had a barbeque and set off some fireworks then we went to the backyard to watch the firework show that Riverton puts on every year.

Jade with sparklers.
Gemma wanted me to hold her, the fireworks that the neighbors were setting off were really loud and she didn't like it. Quite the dirty face though.. :-)
